Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES)

FTDES is a Tunisian organization that was created in 2011 with the aim of defending the economic and social rights of populations at the national and international levels. FTDES works on the following issues: labor rights, women's rights, environmental rights, and migrants' rights.

It supports social movements and communities whose economic and social rights are not respected. This can include farmers with problems accessing water, citizens demanding access to employment, residents of rural communities suffering from pollution generated by industries or uncontrolled waste dumps, agricultural and textile workers, etc.

FTDES will be involved in the activities of the “Governance and Territories” Thematic Group, in particular on the defense of climate and environmental rights defenders.
