SCCF, France: Resilient Communities II (CoRe II)
Secours Catholique - Caritas France (SCCF) is dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable and providing a space for engagement and fostering solidarity. Founded in 1946, the organization operates throughout mainland France and its overseas territories, and provides support in over 52 countries and territories through its partnership with the global Caritas Internationalis network. Secours Catholique - Caritas France addresses all the root causes of poverty, inequality, and exclusion. The organization engages with the public and government authorities, proposing long-term solutions. At the heart of its work lies the participation of those it supports and the empowerment of everyone to act together.
CoRe II
Within the framework of CoRe II, the SCCF will be both coordinator of the program and a full stakeholder in the collective.
Faced with climate, social and democratic crises, which primarily affect the most vulnerable populations, the Resilient Communities – Phase II (CoRe II) program works towards a fairer and more inclusive ecological transition.
Launched in 2025 by Secours Catholique, with the support of the French Development Agency, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the Caritas France Foundation, CoRe II brings together 24 operational partners implementing field projects, as well as 8 associate partners engaged in exchange, learning, and advocacy. The program is deployed in 15 countries and in France: Benin, Senegal, Togo, Mauritania, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Palestine, Tunisia, and France.
CoRe II supports the initiatives of more than 105,000 women and men, with a total budget of more than 12 million euros over four years.
The actions implemented contribute in particular to:
1. Develop more resilient and sustainable food systems;
2. Protect lands, territories and common goods;
3. To have land and territorial rights recognized;
4. Value indigenous and traditional knowledge.
