FONDATION CARITAS FRANCE
France

Created in 2009 by Secours Catholique (Catholic Relief Services), the Caritas France Foundation is dedicated to fighting poverty and exclusion in all their forms. Its actions are structured around four main missions:
Support for project leaders: The Foundation funds more than 70 project leaders each year, providing not only financial support but also extra-financial support (support for social impact assessment, development of own resources, on HR issues, etc.)
Supporting individual and family philanthropy: it houses more than 100 foundations, mainly family foundations, to which it offers a supportive environment and provides tailored support: financial and administrative assistance, field visits, peer exchanges…
Support for research and innovation: The Foundation supports those involved in research on philanthropy and poverty issues, notably through the Caritas Research Prize awarded annually to a young social science researcher.
Social impact investing: The Foundation uses part of its capital to finance social enterprises that aim for a positive social impact while seeking to achieve financial equilibrium.
