Rio Das Feiras - Creole seeds, memories and struggles

The Seed Fairs of Native Americans and Agrobiodiversity are privileged spaces for the free circulation of biodiversity and for the convergence of actors who conserve these seeds and share experiences and recreate their knowledge. The region where the Triunfo Collective operates, in the center-south of Paraná and the northern plateau of Santa Catarina in Brazil, has a long history of organising these fairs.

As a farmer who is a seed guardian reminds us, this story, like our lives, cannot be told in a straight line.

It follows much more like the course of a river, with curves, springs, tributaries, low tides and floods.
