In the Cochabamba region of Bolivia, the community of Caranota faces a major climate challenge: a severe hybrid deficit hindering agricultural development.

Between June and December 2023, CIPCA implemented an innovative water management project aimed at strengthening food security and nutrition for families.

By introducing circular concrete reservoirs, irrigation efficiency increased from 40% to 90%, enabling crop diversification and higher yields. This case study details the key factors contributing to the intervention's success—such as participatory beneficiary selection and the "learning by doing" methodology—which fostered rapid and sustainable technology adoption by the community.
