In this summary sheet, the teams from the Social Pastoral - Caritas Colombia and the Apostolic Vacariat of Puerto Leguízamo-Solano (departments of Caquetá and Putumayo, Colombian Amazon) recount their experience of accompanying peasant families towards the recovery and adoption of agroecological practices.

This document identifies 8 key skills developed by Social Pastoral Care to support this process:

• knowing how to build a group of motivated and cohesive participants

• knowing how to establish a relationship of trust with families

• to be able to reflect with them on the future of their farms and their collective lands

• knowing how to co-create agroecological technical solutions

• knowing how to include women, young people and educational institutions among the participants

• knowing how to pool actions with other stakeholders in the region
