In Latin America, four programme partners have been involved in an ambitious project to systematise their practices: CIPCA and the ACLO Foundation in Bolivia, CAAAP in Peru, and Pastoral Social – Cáritas Colombiana (SNPS) in Colombia. Building on the work to systematise their own practices and those of the communities, these four partner organisations came together for a week in May 2025 in the city of Sucre for a workshop on meta-systematisation.

This workshop enabled the identification of common insights and practices across the majority of just ecological transition initiatives. Six common insights have been identified and formalised. Insights were also identified that are described as ‘invisible’, as they are significant in relation to fair ecological transition practices but had not been identified prior to the workshop.

It is hoped that the dissemination and sharing of these fact sheets, as well as the connections they have forged – and may continue to forge – between professionals and local community leaders, will help to improve and expand fair ecological transition practices at local, regional and national levels.
