This capitalisation, carried out by ACLO with the support of CIEDEL, documents the experience carried out since 2021 in the ANMI El Palmar protected area, in Bolivia, aimed at training primary school children aged 7 to 12 as environmental leaders within their communities the “Guardaparquecitos”.

The document summarizes seven methodological skills, from building trusting relationships with local stakeholders to recognizing children as full-fledged subjects of law. It illustrates how an active educational approach, involving teachers, park rangers, tour guides, and local experts, enabled these young leaders to take concrete initiatives to protect the environment in their communities.
