In this document, the teams from CIPCA Amazonie Nord (Bolivia) recount their experience of supporting BOCINAB (Bloc of peasant and indigenous organizations of northern Amazonia in Bolivia), a representative organization that they have supported for more than 20 years in a context that is both complex and conflictual.

However, this document identifies 5 key areas of expertise developed by CIPCA to support the creation, development and sustainable operation of this organization:

• knowing how to unite the major stakeholders in the region around a common interest

• knowing how to combine capacity building and operational support

• knowing how to prepare new generations of leaders

• knowing how to support an organization even during periods of reduced dynamism, to enable it to renew itself autonomously.
