CONTROVERSIES AND DEBATE NOTEBOOKS 1: AGROECOLOGY AT THE HEART OF A FAIR ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION
GLOBAL
VISION
PROGRAM GOVERNANCE
This very first issue of Cahiers Controverses & Débats (CCD No. 1) launches a series of contributions on the just ecological transition. The spirit of these papers is to move, without hierarchy, from the controversy that characterizes the scientific method to the debates that are shaking societies, by bringing together the knowledge of actors and researchers. For nearly two years, GEMDEV has been providing scientific support to Secours Catholique - Caritas France (SC-CF) in its work to promote a just ecological transition. This issue presents the main conclusions of the joint work carried out by the program partners: “The agroecological transition: a political challenge above all else: three approaches.” By Aurélie Chevrillon-Dupleix, Claire-Isabelle Rousseau (Iram) and François Doligez (Iram-Prodig); “Transformations and specialization of family farming in the South: what place for agroecology?” By Nadège Garambois and Samir El Ouaamari (AgroParisTech, UMR Prodig). As an introduction, conclusion and reflection on possible levers for action, it also offers an analysis of the various existing prospective studies on the transformation of food systems through agroecology: “Prospective processes for the transformation of food systems through agroecology” by Marie de Lattre-Gasquet, Fatma Zahra Rostom, and Théophane Hazoumé (UMR ART-Dev, Cirad).
